We are a science-led global healthcare company researching and developing a broad range of pharmaceuticals, vaccines and healthcare products, working in over 150 countries.
We are dedicated to improving the quality of human life by enabling people to do more, feel better, and live longer.
What we do
Research and development science is a fundamental part of our work. Together with other like-minded companies, and our corporate partners, we are committing our people and our resources to develop life-saving medicines, vaccines and products for the World Health Organisation’s biggest health-threats: HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. We also make many essential household products, such as toothpastes, mouthwashes and sports nutrition products.
Why is science education so important to us?
"Children need something to aspire to. Few of them understand that they could be the person that cures cancer." Philip, teaching 5-11 year-olds
We are 100 % committed to education.
We’ve been passionate about science education for many years. Globally, GSK helps fund and support more than 40 education programmes.
We celebrate the very best of what GSK does through our curriculum-linked programme and resources. We want to inspire each and every student to embrace the magic of science, encouraging them to explore the amazing opportunities on offer as they get to grips with science in the classroom. And we’re even more ambitious! By demonstrating science-in-action and profiling the work of different scientists, we want to go beyond the boundaries of the school curriculum and reveal the wonderful possibilities that a career in science can offer.
