Dust and breathing

Subject(s): Biology | Maths

Resources included: Educator notes, Student sheets, Presentation slides, Extension sheet

Time: 60 minutes

Use this module to introduce your students to gas exchange systems and what can affect them, from smoking to exercise, asthma and allergies. A quick starter activity is followed by two fun lab activities which include working scientifically practice and evaluating results.

Your students may have already done the How we breathe starter activity, but we've included it below in case they haven't. We recommend that you deliver that 15 minute module before you start Dust and breathing, unless your students have already been introduced to the basics of the respiratory system.
